Is it actually solar powered? Says solar sync but I don't see anything about solar power to charge the battery. When a car is parked in the sun all day this could go a long way to maintain battery for longer than 14 days.

The solar panel is that rectangular area you see on the mount of the front camera (attached to the windshield). One concern could be that battery and whether it will survive in extreme heat. Most other dashcams use a capacitor as a solution for this.

its 95 on amazon so this isnt some super deal

my concern is that the battery will blow up from heat caused by sun
