These type of faucets need rare earth magnets to keep the spray part attached to the base, otherwise they begin to dangle quickly. I didn't see a mention or I would be in for one for sure.

I've never had that issue with a properly adjusted hose weight.

my moms is 10years old, no problem. mines about 5 years old, no problem there either and i went super cheap non name brand on mine.

Could be brand and model specific. There is also a counterweight on my model which pulls the head back into position. The counterweight does most of the work while magnet pulls the head back into place.
