Lots of bad reviews on big box website. More plastic pieces breaking and poor customer service

Not a good brand. Owned a few garden tools of this brand and they are all junk. Most of the parts are connected with dead bolts which cannot be adjusted.

They are also all plastic and really crappy, if you mean the two pack at Costco. I ended up returning them.

Yeah the handheld ones I bought stick. I wasn't in love given the rave positivity I've seen about this brand.

The compound lever design ("power lever") does make a huge difference when cutting thick branches. However, these bypass scissor loppers are prone to separation if the branch is too thick. The branch gets caught in between the blades, wedging the blades apart, which snaps the rivet/bolt, breaking the tool. For thicker dead branches, use an anvil lopper, which chops rather than cut the branch.

I have had these for a while. These work great and resist corrosion well.

My nitpicks are the lower (unsharpened) jaw has an upward hook that makes placing the target branch between the jaws more difficult and then the spread of the arms reduces the effective reach when the arms are fully extended.

I ground down a bit of the lower jaw a bit and now they work much better for me.

I don't have this particular one. The one I do have is probably 10+ years old. I typically love Fiskars but I think some of the smaller ones that I have recently bought don't feel right. It's probably all the plastic.

Mine was great for 7+ years until I damage them. It cuts well.
I agree with you. The extension part is maybe more of a gimmick. When fully extended, the handles are so wide, in a tree for instance, there is no room to spread it that wide, or close to cut, and my arms can't even handle that width. So I barely use it more than a few inches extended, otherwise use it vastly as same as a non-extendable lopper.
