Yes and no. The game definitely isn't dead but it's on its last legs. Hell of a game back in the day though.

More than half of the original content, at this point.

The $20 bundle alone was $100 when it came out late last year right? I never got into the actual games, even though I like the gameplay, but the Star Wars stuff interest me. Some say you can treat it as a single player game and enjoy all that. Is there a need to play with others to get the max or most out of these DLCs?

Yes you have to play with others to get the max out of an MMO. However, the campaign is still quite fun if you don't care for things like raids.

You have to embrace pay to play to enjoy this game but at least you can get this at a discount so you pay less to play. Destiny had so much potential but Bungie designed it around level capping and holding back pre-nerfed gear without buying their $20 expansions.

Going solo initially might be a little rough. The new player experience is pretty trash, a good amount of content was removed so you're starting the story part of the way through, and the end game raids are probably the best content but require a group.

It's definitely more of an FPS MMO. It's not multiplayer Halo campaign like I think a lot of people were hoping initially.

There's an LFG function in game to make it easier to find folks.

No, I'm pretty sure there is no offline play whatsoever.

You can definitely play a ton of the game solo but the majority of the best activities are going to require a team. Raids are the best done activity in Destiny but you have to have a squad whether it be you and friends or random folks. If you're interested in the game, you can definitely get $20 of play out of this as a solo player.

I thought this was dying or almost dead because of their choices and all the negative posts about it everywhere. I guess it might be worth the 25% off coupon maybe though.

It's an interesting game, kind of Halo meets Warframe since everything Bungie makes feels like Halo (ala the Pixar effect). This is probably as cheap as its content gets.

I would buy this in a heartbeat but I just cannot get GeForce Now to realize that I have a Steam copy of D2.
