The 85 inch been this price for a while now. Not sure if it's going to budge much lower.

I've been waiting for the 85 to go on sale for three months. There was like 36 hours in January where it was 1500. supposedly there's gonna be a sale on April 20.

Don't sleep on these. Better than most brands that aren't the top of the line LG or Sony

It was posted either on here or on AVS forum, or r/hometheater. I've spent a better part of two months researching and looking every day waiting. I just saw it a couple days ago. Looking at the price history they just jacked it up to $2500, it most assuredly will go on sale then in the next week or so because that's how they do it.

I got one yesterday from Amazon. I love it. Awesome TV! I haven't had one in over a decade so it's crazy how much tech is packed into this thing. And with the google tv OS it's basically an android phone! So much fun discovering all the features and content to watch. I chose this over the OLED displays because I find they give me headaches. This Micro LED has been pretty good! TV is very bright and crisp at any range or angle. Just get it. I chose it over Sony, and LG OLED because it was the only one usable without eye strain.

Would love a QM8K but I'm so wary about its reflections. White walls, lamps, and the living room just don't feel like they'd work too well with this TV.

General word on the street (haven't tested myself) is that the price premium from the QM7k to 8k isn't worth it. The QM7k is really close, but also harder to get at a good price lately (earlier this week it was on sale for $1k but it's over).

Interesting. Having been researching for months, I have read the opposite. The 8k is markedly better according to multiple sources-"The TCL QM8K is significantly better than the TCL QM7K. The QM8K gets a lot brighter, delivering bright highlights in HDR and a more impactful HDR experience overall. This higher peak brightness also translates to a better bright-room experience, as the QM8K can overcome more glare in a bright room. The Mini LED local dimming feature on the QM8K is also better, resulting in less haloing around bright spots in the scene."Rtings.com

I've read that the 6K --> 7K is a huge leap. 7K --> 8K is definitely better, but more noticeable when side by side. 7K seems to be the dollars to performance sweet spot. At least on the 75".

But the 8k is only $150 more than the 7k for the 75". It makes no sense to go with older tech for that minimal difference though.

7K pretty regularly drops to $999. I have one on order from Amazon waiting for stock at that price now. So it's really a $500 difference in the end if you wait a tiny bit.

The color accuracy is apparently better on the 6k. But the 7k is brighter.

The L series should be out next month so expect these '25 models to start going on closeout shortly.
