Get the right size for your vehicle. I had one of these that would not work for my SUV but worked like a charm for my son's small sedan. (They usually also have a charge feature for your phone as well as flashlight/safety light or some such for emergencies)
Price have dropped a good deal on these too.

I use a similar brand exclusively on my Subaru; I probably haven't used jumper cables in a decade.

Just a reminder to everyone buying any battery jumper cable devices: you gotta maintain the battery every..... quarter or 6 months by using it and then recharging it. I've read reviews for the expensive 100+ jumpers and these cheapo 20-60 jumpers - most reviews commenting failure appear to have had the person not properly maintaining the battery. Either always leaving it on charger or never charging it. You can't do either. Gotta maintain the battery......... heck, anything with batteries these days!

Ironically I've had much more success with the small no-name versions on Amazon than I have the large traditional type from companies like DeWalt that were bought from Home Depot. I've given up on those, 2 vector brand and 2 times DeWalt. All purchased from depot and out of warranty period but had never been used before. Seems like these also hold charge much longer as well

While true for the vast majority (including this one), a LiFePO4 unit doesn't require the same level of babying. You can pretty much charge it full and throw it in the car, maybe top it off every 6 months or so. Despite the batteries themselves being cheaper, though, the LiFePO4 units are usually more expensive.

I agree if these were lifepo4 but i believe most battery jump start devices are not lifepo4 because it can't do high voltage cranks.

Why would they need higher voltage? The vast majority of non-commercial vehicles - gas or diesel - use the same general 12V battery to start the car. All diesel and larger gas engines tend to require higher cranking amps, but the voltage is pretty consistent across the board.

It's true that LiFePO4 batteries have a lower nominal cell voltage (3.2V) compared to Li-ion (3.7V) - and have a tighter, more linear OCV - but they're both wired in series to get something within the range the car needs. LFP would be 12.8-14.4V whereas lithium ion is more like 14.8-16.8V.

LFP has no problem at all providing the voltage the overwhelming majority of cars and trucks need. In fact, Li-ion is somewhat higher than necessary.
