The D-Pad on the 8bit may be better for classic games. Which model/s you comparing this too?
For the price. Rubberized grips, charging dock, swappable buttons (if you prefer Nintendo button layout), two trigger modes, hall effect goodness. This is a great Controller. Also RGB lighting isn't distracting too.
Really solid. I don't think you could find a better controller for the sale price. Really punches above it's weight

This video is the only one that I've seen that it can? Anybody else confirm?

Video you listed is for the GameSir Nova Lite not the Super Nova Pro
Depending on if it doesn't it's cheaper than the 8bitdo ultimate 2. I paid $38 last night and can still cancel for this.
The ergonomic value on this is preferred.

Keep the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 if:
Performance is the Priority: With recent firmware (v1.09 as of late March 2026), the 8BitDo remains significantly faster. Its button latency over the 2.4GHz dongle is roughly 8.11 ms or 12 ms bt, compared to 20.38 ms or 26 ms bt for the Super Nova Pro. <-- these numbers could be way off. I play wireless on PC (with dongle) no complaints.
Hardware Quality: The 8BitDo is noted for superior D-pads and bumpers. Its trigger locks are "true" locks that physically convert the triggers into digital buttons, whereas the Super Nova only shortens the travel distance.
Higher Precision: The 8BitDo uses TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sticks, which offer higher sensitivity and precision over the standard Hall Effect sticks in the Super Nova.
GameSir Super Nova Pro if:
Physical Layout is the Dealbreaker: The Super Nova Pro allows you to physically swap the ABXY buttons between Xbox and Nintendo layouts. T
Need Better Ergonomics/Comfort: The Super Nova features flared, Xbox-style handles and a slightly rubberized texture that many find more comfortable for large hands or long sessions.
If Software Customization Matters: GameSir's "Connect" software is generally considered superior and more customizable than 8BitDo's software.
If you mean Ultimate 2C instead then that is different.
$38 for the Ultimate 2 is also a fantastic deal? Still at that sale price?
