Be careful with these cheap spices, they seem to be cheap for a reason. Bought coriander a month ago and forgot to check expiration date before the return window closed. It's already expired.

Bulk foods section of Winco is the Slickdeal. All these tiny containers of spices are a racket.

It is almost certainly fine to consume the issue is spices have a tendency to lose their taste as they grow old. Ginger in particular is amazing. We used to do tests in my junior high school science class, with fresh vs stale vs store ginger and the degree of freshness effects so much. Although this is not true for all spices / flavorings.

As someone who also tested random foods as part of scoo research projects in the name of science, I would not trust my own assessment or any other person of the same cohort 💩

This is great if you only use a tiny bit of this but if you are heavy asian recipe lover just go to indian/asian grocery near you. Make sure to check the exp/best buy date, had a hand full of encounters of buying expired products/spices from em

I never had any problem with close-to-expired spices from Amazon. But I use chili powder in MUCH larger quantities than this little jar.
