So the difference between the 13" 16 GB model vs the 15" 16 GB model is the GPU core of 8 vs 10? I wonder how much difference it makes in real-life usage.

For most people the GPU difference won't matter. It is the screen size is what matters. I personally prefer the 13" as it is more portable but the larger screen is very nice along with a slightly better speakers.

Not before next year. The M5 just launched a month ago.

It does kill me that no retailer stocks a 24GB/512GB SKU of the M5. That's the real sweet spot, IMO.

Went to the Apple store for this reason today. Depending on the model you get, they kind of price matched Best Buy. I was told the max they could do was 10% off MSRP. Close enough for me. Chase Rewards had 10% off Apple gift cards and I had enough points to get $700 worth of gift cards. I was debating on getting the 13" 24GB 512GB or the base 15". So if you get the 15" 24GB 512 GB MSRP $1499 you would get $149 off

If you upgrade the memory or SSD is automatically bumps the GPU to 10 Core FYI. If you plan on playing games or video processing it would help. There are a bunch of YouTube videos on this.

the 15 inch also has more speakers but if you plan on doing anything on the laptop like comparing files side by side, the 15 inch is much better

I was holding out for spending under $1k for a new MacBook and scored this one in Sky Blue open-box excellent from BB for $917

It's 1) in perfect condition 2) so so much better size wise to the 13"

If you have the means spend the extra $500 and get the 24GB/1TB, it'll handle most anything out there for awhile
