IP54 is not enough, for open exposure I would prefer IP65 or higher.

This thing is small and the small wire in the promo picture makes it look like it has way more room. Your average extension cable connector is going to be very close to touching the sides, you have maybe one more connector worth of space underneath it. Check out customer photos for size small.
Also: Item frequently returned due to small fit.

for $8.99, still IP54, so not IP65 bombproof, but this link option is at least a usable size at a decent-ish price. (I still appreciate the post OP! But, the box in this post is super super tiny!) 😍

The second picture shows the outside length is 7.7" and the inside length is 3.5". That doesn't make sense. Most likely the outside is around ~3.7" based on the outside/inside ratio of the large size.
