They work great, are safe and have a secure fitting. They are also super fast to install too, which is a bonus! You'll most likely need to break the tabs off the top and bottom to use a standard wall cover though.

I finished my entire basement with these. They're so fast (and easy) to install and I like the modern decora look. Once the basement was done, i've started swapping out various other outlets around my house with these.

These normally hover between $25 and $28 with the occasional "sales" down to around $23. $20 is a great price coz-- $2 an outlet! I've bought about 40 of these over the last several months. Thanks OP! In for 2 more packs!

Note: The decora style plates you need to go with these outlets are the same price as the outlets themselves. These are the ones I've been buying: https://a.co/d/0efDxo19

I thought they are gimmick but they save time on trim out and are actually worth it

This is more of a comment for any decora receptacle not specifically these leviton ones (which agreed are great), but I'd grab a couple plate designs before choosing if you're doing a bunch of these. I mostly used the leviton screwless plates but they're very finicky on some walls. The lutron plates I had almost no problems with, they're more tolerant to unevenness around the box. These enerlites look very similar to leviton ones but I haven't tried them so unsure.

This looks like the kind of item that would invoke the haughty ire of a "licensed electrician of 30 years" who will inevitably chime in and tell us how these are awful and how he never uses them (but he'll neglect to inform us how he still gouges clients when he installs standard outlets that cost $0.49 each.) :-D

These are better and safer than traditional screw-down outlets - the wires are not exposed, they are held in place by a strong spring mechanism, and do not require bending the wire into a Shepherd's Hook to wind around a screw terminal. They are NOT like "backstabbing" (which is unsafe) where the wire is held in place by a blade that notches the wire and WILL come loose over time. These are better for the beginner DIYer as they are less prone to mistakes (e.g., winding the wire around the screw terminal the wrong direction or not ensuring the wire is held securely enough) and allow for adjustment if you strip off too much of the jacket and need to cut down the wire (the housing has a strip gauge on it as well).

Love these outlets. I've installed a variety of outlets over the years and these are by far the easiest to use and have the added benefit of not exposing terminals on the outside that can accidentally contact bare ground wires or metal e-box housings. My only complaint is that they come with breakoff tabs at the top and bottom that I always have to break to fit a standard wall plate. I found using wire snips are cleaner than trying to bend and snap off.

These work great. Sometimes you have to snap the top and bottom parts off to fit a wall plate. They are big and can really crowd a older metal box. A bitch to fit alot of stuff in with it. I also prefer metal outlet covers. They are much more forgiving. Good price.

Well, I'm a licensed electrician of 36 years and I think these are a great idea. Not the tamper-resistant part, that still sucks, but the lever edge wire retention things are great.

These are amazing! I had my 11-year-old and 13-year-old help me replace every outlet throughout the house. All because I found a couple of odd outlets that were wired completely wrong.
Game changer... Makes things super easy, even if you are a seasoned sparky.

I actually like the Tampa resistant part. I still have younger children and I like these better than the clear plugs that you insert into the outlet.
