It's from ONE review. Says that if you have nails and pets, it will snag. I'd say cats' claws can snag on anything, and better trim the dog's and your nails if they snag frequently on fabric.

We buy these for the couch to cover the cushions from dog. Doesn't usually last a month before they get destroyed, also caution when washing. Probably what the negative reviews are about
