My wife HATED this tool until she started using it. It may not look that useful, but it is many times faster than hand pruning. I like that the battery matches my other DeWalt tools

I'm in the ER right now with my wife. She cut her little finger to the bone with it. 4 stitches. Lucky it didn't cut it off. Because it is a pretty bad ass cutter. I cut the fallen date palm frond branches down to 4' size for trash pickup. It cuts through those; albeit it takes a couple chops.
