RTINGS gave this monitor an 8.2/10 (if I have the right one).
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...g8-s32bg85
For PC gaming they wrote "The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 is great for PC gaming. It has a high 240Hz refresh rate, and it has VRR support to reduce screen tearing. It has low input lag for a responsive feel with most settings, and motion looks sharp thanks to its quick response time, but it still has some inverse ghosting at lower refresh rates. Sadly, there's noticeable VRR flicker with changing frame rates, which is distracting in dark scenes if your PC can't maintain stable frame rates. On the plus side, it delivers great picture quality thanks to its accurate colors, high peak brightness, and decent Mini LED local dimming feature."

I've had a 32" G7 for years, this G8 will now make it a great upgrade and a dual set up. I wasn't in the market for one, but can't beat this deal when you also throw in the RE-9 that I was about to purchase.

This is really a fantastic gaming monitor. I sometimes prefer it to my 32" Samsung G80SD, which has an issue with GSync. The windows scanlines does impact it as a productivity monitor. Its not there all the time, but when it does show up, it may distract you. Honestly it doesnt bother me at all. For gaming, this is one of the best monitors out there. HDR highlights and color look amazing. Its competitive enough when compared with a 32" OLED monitor.

This is a great monitor for 4k gaming. I was able to grab the OLED version of this a couple months back for $550 otherwise would scoop this up.

Have this for about 3 years. I use this in 1440p resolution with 240 Hz as I don't have a powerful enough GPU to push the 4K pixels at high refresh rate. Absolutely love it. Would buy it again. The curve on the screen will need some "getting used to"

Yeah for pure gaming I would upgrade to oled. But this is still great.

Difference between G7 and G8?
via RTINGS "The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 S32BG85 and the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 are very similar monitors. They likely use the same panel as the picture quality is the same, but the main difference is that the Neo G8 has a 240Hz refresh rate, while the Neo G7 has a 165Hz refresh rate. Another difference is that the Neo G8 uses a different screen coating with much better reflection handling. However, it introduces some haziness, so if that bothers you, the Neo G7 is the better choice."

240hz vs 165hz refresh rate. I went with the G7 because of the hideous "gamer vibe" white back to it. However, they are essentially the same monitors. Either way, it's a great monitor that I highly recommend.

I actually got this monitor because it wasn't OLED. No burn-in concerns. It's a great monitor.
