When it comes to audio books, I just get the Libby app and attach to my local library card and listen to audio books for free.
Yes, if the title is popular, you may have to reserve it and listen later, but classics like Lovecraft and others listed here usually have many copies, and some even have infinite copies.
There are few if any audio books that I have listened to more than once, however I have often read the paper and then listened later in the car or commute etc. if I really like the book.
Go for the Libby App first! Free is Slicker than $5.99 if you are willing to wait.

BTW, a book in listening to right now is There is no Antinemetics Division. Sci/Fi and Horror.
