This high-performance solution enables rapid read/write operations for video content and efficient handling of large project files, significantly enhancing productivity in video editing workflows.
  • The 2.5-inch enclosure supports seven RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, 10, JBOD, and CLEAR, allowing flexible configuration based on workflow needs. Video editors can enjoy smoother editing while better protecting their valuable footage and project files
  • Four expansion ports help compensate for the limited interfaces on laptops. The ORICO all-flash storage enclosure is ideal for on-site photography backup, enhancing workflow efficiency
  • The enclosure supports both 2.5-inch SSDs and HDDs, with a single drive capacity of up to 8TB and a total capacity of 32TB across four bays. It also supports daisy-chaining via USB 3.2, enabling the connection of three devices for up to 120TB of expanded storage—easily meeting the massive demands of video production
  • Compared to traditional 3.5-inch HDD enclosures, the 2.5-inch all-flash model reduces volume by over 50%. Its all-solid-state design lacks mechanical components, offering excellent shock resistance. No extra protective measures are needed when carrying it outdoors—it fits effortlessly into backpacks or camera bags

Yeah, I was about to get it but then noticed that it is only for 2.5" disks. This price with 3.5" drives would have been great since the larger HDD have speeds below 10Gbps anyway.

2.5" seems like a weird design choice unless you have a bunch of low mileage larger capacity SSDs leftover from the end of SATA era.

I don't think you'd see a difference.

10gb connections to 2.5 ssd limited to 600mb max, so even with 40gb connection wouldn't benefit at all. 10gb plenty speed for this kind of application. 40gb connection speed would only benefit if using m.2 drives other than that is a waste of speed
