$50 power supply, $175 CPU, maybe a deal if you can't wait for Nova Lake, or have a Micro Center nearby.

I'd say more like mid... its a great all rounder Chip especially for the cost of hte bundle.

If Nova Lake is anywhere near as good as its looking it won't be anywhere near this cheap and if this 250kf is a great all rounder chip. Hopefully zen6 will also be gangbusters and forces intel to price competitively again. We'll see.

Keep in mind that an "F" processor means you need a GPU - there is no integrated graphics with this chip. But it is the new Arrow Lake refresh.

$20 more for the iGPU.

There will be $200 Nova Lake SKUs, just not at socket launch. Intel is still staggering product releases as usual. I do not believe Zen 6 is ready at the same timeframe, but shortly after. You'd have to be pretty desperate for an upgrade to consider this deal regardless, given current NAND / SDRAM prices. Micro Center needs a $350 bundle with this SKU to compete with budget Zen 4 / 5 deals.

Definitely a very capable mid+ build chip, for this price its a steal.
Lets call the PSU worth $50, that makes the CPU $150. Which makes it cheaper than a 9600x, while wiping the floor against it in multi-threaded applications, and beating it in gaming and even power consumption.
This chip is basically a vastly more power efficient 14700k or a 9900x, both far more expensive parts. For gaming the only real improvement would be a 9800x3D+, where performance is 10% faster at 1080p-1440p with a 5090 but that comes at a staggering $420 and the 9800x3d has worse multi-thread and efficiency... So that 'upgrade' is really hard to justify unless youre pairing it with a 5090 and only game.
If I didnt already have a current gen CPU id be buying this, price to performance is wildly good.

One thing for people to note that are thinking of buying this for the CPU is that these new Ultra processors use the LGA1851 socket and Intel has stated that it will be phased out in favor of the new LGA 1954 socket. Meaning you will also have to upgrade the motherboard if you ever upgrade the CPU to a newer generation.

For anyone with a 245K/KF this is a no-brainer. Newegg is still offering $170/160 as a trade in value for those chips, making this $30/40 for a pretty sizeable performance leap and a power supply you can resell to cover the cost

I bought this and have both the 265 and 285 processors and this one is way more efficient in my servers and almost keeps up with the 285 in my ai rig. I plan to sell those two processors and get two more.

I didn't think you could even find bronze rated PSUs anymore.
