Speedway and 7-11 are the same companies, their apps are essentially the same thing, you're not going to get double dips as codes will work once across both.

Granted but....the reality is, they are the same thing now. and the danger of this thread is people thinking these gas deals are UNIQUE to each, when they are not. While there is still a speedway app and a 7-11 app, as of April 2026, 7-Eleven and Speedway fuel reward codes (activated by texting 711-711) are largely interchangeable because 7-Eleven purchased Speedway, and the rewards programs have merged onto the same platform. These stacked codes can typically be used at both 7-Eleven and Speedway gas stations.
Key Details on Fuel Codes and Usage:
Interchangeability: The codes (SAVE, FUEL30, FUEL, STARSWIN, DEAL) can be texted to 711-711 to activate discounts in either app.
Can They Be Used Twice? These specific promotional codes are generally designed as one-time use per account. Once you use them, they disappear from your account.
There is already a ton of SPEEDWAY discussion and general discussion in that 7-11 fuel thread which is far more valuable than starting from scratch and confusing users thinking they can do both. YOU CAN'T.
Again, Speedway is purchased by 7-11, but it is still in the merger. they are totally different two entity in same umbrella as of now. Their POS system is in the way of merging, but again, not all POS, not all Machines are yet to be ready for interchangeable with both 711 members and speedway members. So, that is why 711 app advertising of speedway, and vise versa, as they are not 100% ready with all stations to react on both app, or both service members.
Trust me, I tried this multi million way last 2 years, and asked the manager on store why is it not working and so on. So, your theory is correct, they are in the same company, but working two different brandings now. Now, will they going to merge? I am not sure, but for sure i know their in the way as a lot of speedway stations are on going with POS, and system updates. So i am glad that i see this thread that its now working.

If, as of April the platforms were integrated, and they use the same exact codes, I'd imagine the same codes loaded on the two unique apps will only be usable 1x at either of the two gas brandings, 7-11 or Speedway. Unless of course your two apps are linked to totally different emails or cell #'s.
(they aren't good where Shell, Exxon, etc is the brand on the pumps at either chain)

However, Speedway has a long history in the market and so many locations that I believe it'll take a few years for every owner to transition. 7-Eleven simply can't force everyone to swap out their systems all at once.
So, I guess once 7-Eleven decides it's finally time for a full integration similar to what happened with BP, Shell, or ConocoPhillips, they'll merge, and you won't be able to "ping-pong" between them anymore.
But who knows how long that will actually take? History shows that some of these brand mergers can take a decade to fully cross the finish line.
