Lots of negative reviews. The inside is rough unfinished wood, and people say they notice wood splinters coming out with the ground salt. Multiple people reported that the grinding mechanism fell out the bottom while using it. It grinds very slowly; you need to twist a lot. And if you pick it up by the top the main body will fall: the top just slides on, it doesn't latch or thread on.
