They're paid reviews, and/or they get sent free product. There's a ton of ways around amazon's rules. There's also paid shills who put it up on deal sites. Sometimes even "front pages"!

And here we are.

It's a crap light with a crap battery that will be nowhere near what's advertised. That looks just like all the other crap lights getting posted here every few days with blown up, impossible specs, all for under $20 American!!

I'll say this much... The AI slop generated images at least look a little better to the uninitiated than just photo-chopped slop images they've used for nearly a decade!

Realistically, it's probably not even 2k, but the thing is, people don't have testing equipment to test for actual Lumens. The average consumer will buy a cheap flashlight, turn it on, see that it's very bright, so they're happy. The typical consumer has no idea what 10000 Lumens even looks like. They know it sounds like a lot and the flashlight they just bought is cheap & super bright so they are happy. It's really as simple as that.
Consider this. The giant 8 D cell Maglight that cops carried and some of us had back in the day and thought was amaaaazingly bright only produced about 100 Lumens. Another example was In 2012, the $40 Maglite 2D PRO produced less than 300 Lumens and that was with a Cree XP-G LED and was a gigantic step above the earlier models that haven't yet transition to LEDs. Flashlight tech has come a looooong way.

When I see a corny name like Shadowhawk, I cant help think about the scene in Stepbrothers when they introduce themselves to each other & Brennan says "I'm Brennan. But, you have to call me... Nighthawk." 😆 IYKYK

There is a Youtube channel where the guy tests all kinds of items. He tested flashlights and the actual results were alarming. Most of these LED lights lost at least half of their brightness within 15 seconds. At 60 seconds, the light was less than 20% of when the flashlight was first turned on. None came anywhere near the advertised brightness. Light pattern had a lot to do with the measured brightness and the perceived brightness. Also battery life was much shorter than advertised.

Well 20% of 10000 is still 2000 Lumens which is still insanely bright, so I'm surprised they even hit that mark. In all honestly I would have guessed even less than that. Battery life is also no shocker as they all grossly overrate the battery capacity but that's typical in the battery industry. Anything outside of one of the few leading major brand batteries & you're not going to get advertised capacity. You even have to be careful of buying name-brand batteries because knockoffs of real brands are rampant in the industry, but are a fraction of the capacity and discharge/charge capability.
