Home Depot has the M12 220 Lumen LED Stick Light on sale. I have this light and at this price I'm going to pickup another one. The adjustable hook works great and I like that it does have a built in battery charge indicator unlike the 100 lumen M12 flashlight. I do see a potential error in the Home Depot website description that says it has a USB port to charge items and I don't think this is true.

The third bullet point in the description on the site -
  • Delivers 220 Lumens of TRUEVIEW™ High Definition Output
  • Balanced, in-line design suitable for one-handed use
  • Charge tablets, smartphones & more with onboard 2.1A USB port
I'm fairly sure that's an error but this could be a new version. I cant see it on any of the photos on Home Depot's site.

Ah yeah. I see what you mean there now. Oddly, that part only shows up if I view the website in desktop view.

But yeah, it's not mentioned on the Milwaukee website
https://www.milwaukeetool.com/pro...ht/2351-20
Or the products manual
https://documents.milwaukeetool.c...6-2355.pdf

So it's unlikely. However if you look at the first pic on the HD website, the back of the handle on the top (middle of tool) kinda looks like it could be a door that pops off. That would be neat. But I doubt it.

There's no USB on this -- it's a typo.

My thoughts on it:

It's a pretty basic light. 220 lumens. No magnet included ($16 extra item). Only one brightness level. Not dirt or water sealed in any way. I'd find it compelling only if you have tons of extra M12 batteries sitting around and wanted to throw TEAM RED some extra dollery doos from your sachet of cash.

As a tool light, it's not awful -- though it's pretty dim and has a narrow flood. It's relatively small compared to other canister-style LED lights from other tool providers (and even Milwaukee's own M12 system).

But where it really fails to deliver value is when you compare it to something like the Wurkkos FC11c light. For $20, you can get your choice of body color, 1200 lumen, high CRI, multiple brightness levels. Magnetic tail cap, usbc port built-in for charging, USBC cable included. IPX-8 sealed against weather.

And an 18650 battery included...unlike this light which has no battery included.

Oh, the Wurkkos? $20. Total cost of ownership for the Wurkkos vs M12 stick light + magnet + battery + charger....you could grab 4+ Wurkkos lights. And there are plenty of other high output budget lights in the $20-50 range, if the Wurkkos doesn't scratch your itch.

At the end of the day, if I could only buy one or the other with limited cash -- the M12 light would be a hard sell. I'd rather have multiple, brighter, more durable, smaller lights.
