I've played a lot of old school Star Wars games like Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast, Shadows of the Empire. Does this game share any of the DNA of those games? Do you imagine I might enjoy it? Is there any other modern game this is similar to for comparison purposes?

IMO it's sort of like an assassins creed-ish open world Star Wars game. It's pretty fun. A lot of the negativity for the game is derived from the fact that it's a game key card.

I totally get some of the criticism behind the key cards, BUT... let's not forget how terrible the days of a piece of paper with a code were. Use the code once and it is forever attached to an account, no sharing.

Not to sound like a bootlicker, but I think the context of what it USED to be needs to be considered.

For sure, I'll take a GKC any day it's still a physical swappable sellable piece. The game itself with the story is compelling enough, Star Wars fans seem to enjoy it more than non fans.

The problem is the very small but very loud percentage of people that are living in their parents basement that swear by physical because when the end of the world comes and everything goes offline, they have some games to play. S2 cards are expensive. I get that. Key cards are a trade off of not paying extra. I have purchased used key card games so that's nice.

Some people just don't like using up the space on their S2 with a "physical" cartridge. Space is limited on the handheld. It has nothing to do with their living conditions.
