Nothing Phone 3 comes across as a stylish Android flagship with strong hardware, clean AOSP software, and build quality that stacks up well against other premium phones. The design and brand identity still stand out, and the phone is seen as a big step up from older Samsung models and the 3a Pro. The main knocks are missing features that once made Nothing distinctive, including the SD slot, plus concerns about carrier compatibility on Verizon and Spectrum Mobile. The Amazon trade in credit also carries risk, since the bonus may require a late model phone with accessories and could be delayed.

Common Questions (5)

  • It is not recommended for Verizon, and it may not work with Spectrum Mobile. Check carrier compatibility before buying, especially if you need full U.S. network support.

  • The full $100 trade-in credit requires a late-model, high-quality phone with all included accessories. Lower-value or incomplete trade-ins may not qualify for the maximum credit.

  • The trade-in credit can be delayed or fail to arrive even after the device shows as received. One reported Pixel 9 trade-in was marked received for months before the promised digital Amazon gift card still had not appeared.

  • The hardware and build quality are described as on par with flagship phones. The main caveat is that Nothing removed some distinctive features, including the SD slot, so it may feel less unique than earlier models.

  • It is described as an excellent AOSP Android phone. That makes it a strong fit if you want a clean Android experience rather than a heavily customized skin.

look at the jerryrigeverything video. the hardware and build quality is on par with flagship. Although the Note 20 ultra still kicking strong to this day. I rather get something else though as Nothing removed things that made them unique...a SD slot and other things
Yes I watch his videos all the time. But Nothing has shifted to a lot of the things that was great on the nothing 1 phone. It's inevitable though, because as MK says they can't compete with Apple and Samsung with that price range. Although I think they should have been happy being the new "enthusiastic user" phones. But now they want to mainstream it. Problem is, it alienates the ones who actually cared for Nothing brand. Annnnnddd mainstream actually didn't bite what they were selling.

Nothing as we know it needs to revert back to the phone for tinkers and adventurous android users. Or they'll end up losing a lot of their loyalist.

Just my two cents.

Care to elaborate ? Commercial reference or something?
Old dire straits song featuring sting "money for nothing". There's a story behind it about the band hearing appliance movers at a sears or something talking about the bands on mtv and that's what the song is about.

90% of the time the reps lie to hurry up and disconnect with you. They say they will give you GC, credit, refund, etc. and you won't see jack squat.

This is a $400 phone at best: too many sacrifices. Nice camera resolution, but does it take good pix? More a function of the software. And it's running Android, not one of the non-tracking alternates, so how can they call it "Nothing?" The bind moggles...

Yup they had become the very thing they set out to not be. Their CMF phones are very hard to get a hold of. Really want the CMF Phone 2 pro. Be nice if Carl can get off his high ego and listen to the people that's actually enjoying the brand.

Imagine putting on your resume you worked at Nothing.

Interviewer: where was your last job?
Candidate: I was an engineer at nothing.
Interviewer: so you are a nothing engineer?
Candidate: yes.
Interviewer: you're hired.

There is a reason why this phone is named a nothing phone. Cause it just like what it's named. NOTHING!
