I have a pair and I have the jbl 305s along with the edifier s2000mk 3s. These are great sounding for it's size. If you want more oomph and volume, oomph definitely need to spend upwards of $250. The drivers should be at least 5" if you want louder/clear.

Other than that, the imaging for these are great, especially with the available connectivity. I forgot which speaker set does this plus adds hdmi in this small form factor.
