Just a major heads up: if Synapse 4 doesn't play well with your computer (or if you're using this for work & your IT dept doesn't allow unapproved software), you won't be able to do anything with that left knob or macro keys. There's no web app (Synapse web), nor is there onboard memory.

Does anyone know how this compares to the Microsoft or the Logitech ergo ones?
(I'll look it up on Google, too).

Curious what you find. I love the Microsoft Surface Keyboard and Sculpt. Still the best keyboards around.

I don't know why every keyboard manufacturer has to design a new layout for the keyboards

I think my problem with this keyboard is that the keys are not flat - I'm talking about those circular dimples. I tried a Logitech keyboard that had this, in passing, and it was ok and not too odd feeling but I'm not confident that I'll get used to it in the long term.
My friend says he went through the same thinking, and bought the Logitech ergo. He was using Microsoft ergo too. Internet doesn't think it'll be a problem though.

wow I think I've waited years to see a consumer-brand (not custom) lit ergo keyboard! I replaced my MS 4000 with an Adesso, but it's not the same quality. This is tempting...

Did you find anything? I need a Sculpt replacement and still for the life of me cannot understand how InCase page still shows "Coming Soon".

Won't solve my hope for another "orb" but I guess one thing at a time.

I didn't find anything new since my last reply. The Logitech ERGO K860 is likely my best bet, but I won't be purchasing before Jul or Nov deal season.
