I got this tool free with the current Home Depot buy one get one free for certain Dewalt tools.

I just used this thing a ton in my yard. I was not easy on it at all and it held up well to everything I was doing. Probably used it on larger stuff than I should have and it still took everything down I could reach. Just remember after using it for a bit to tighten the chain some.

Can this be put on a pole to become a pole saw and reach higher areas?

Is this promo still going on? I went to check and don't see it online... Maybe it's not in Texas or I missed it. 😢

I have the dewalt 16" chainsaw and a separate pole saw and they do great. However for smaller pruning, I think I'm going to stick with the famous dewalt finger choppers and the recip saw with a pruning blade. The recip saw / sawzall with a pruning blade is a lot less hassle for me as I hate dealing with chain oil that will inevitably leak everywhere like my other two.

debating if I really need this... Cuz I got the EGO chainsaw, Pole Chainsaw wired (pain in the ass to use), manually fiskar pole saw, Dewalt snipper scissor thing (this is awesome, so worry of cutting my fingers off), Dewalt reciprocator saw battery powered. I mean I have so many ways to cut down something now that I don't feel like I would need this!!!

I'm so terrified of that dewalt pruner lopping my fingers off I never bought one solely for that reason

That deal at HD is cheeks tho, choose from 2 trimmers or a battery charger that is waaaaaay over priced.

A chainsaw is faster but nothing beats being able to quickly swap out a recip saw blade or the ability to plunge it into the dirt to get at roots.

Wow, thanks for posting OP! Nice deal, got my thinking gears going. I've looking for either Ego, Milwaukee, or DeWalt chainsaws. I don't want to get into another battery ecosystem. Milwaukee would be the best as I only need the tool. But Fasteners also has the two 5.0 amp battery and charger deal going on, which I would need a bigger DeWalt battery for this. Nice one, great post!
