This isn't an OLED tv. It's an LED tv. For the size and price, it's decent, even in a moderately bright room. The viewing angles are not great apparently. But it's 98 inches.... so I don't think that would be that large of a concern- this will take up an entire wall and you shouldn't have much angled viewing lol. That said, this doesn't match the quality of an OLED tv panel. But a 98 OLED tv would cost significantly more than this. LG makes a 97 inch OLED and it's 17,000$ lol.

Don't tell me you gonna buy a $1k 98" tv and worry about the sound! Sound you can upgrade, easily but you can't upgrade the picture.

TCL - 98" Class Q55K Series vs Hisense 100 inch U6 Series. From what I can read is Hisense 100 inch U6 Series is better option and at 1299 at costco with the All state insurance for 5 year.

People recommending a tiny 77" TV over 98-100" lol come on bruh.
No one wants those tiny things. These types probably pixel peeping and when guests come they invite them to go super close to the screen and show them how the pixel cant be seen and why its better and more expensive per size compared to a 100" lol

How does this compare to the C series OLED TVs from LG?
There is no comparison to an OLED. Once you get an OLED you wont look back.

its not that bad if you need a large screen for something, especially if you were considering a projector for this size screen. 1k is not bad for 98"

I would avoid unless you really need that big of a TV. Instead get a 77 inch OLED. I remember the LG 77 inch A series was $800 at Micro Center.
I wouldn't take the best 77" TV ever made over this 98". There is nothing more immersive than a wider field of view. Of course, you need ~7ft minimum viewing distance, but I wouldn't go smaller unless I was forced to sit close to the TV.

I made a 152" projection screen out of spandex for another room. Bigger is better!

...now I need to convince my wife we need to replace the 75" TV for this one. I'll give the 75" to my parents.

I might be an oddball but I have two 65 inch TVsOne Hisense U8G and one OLED C3I have the Hisense in the living room and think it looks better. The OLED almost has to be paired with blackout curtains to keep up.That being said the OLED G series is apparently a lot brighter?

Back in stock.
Decided to go the forgiveness rather than permission route. Main seating position is 17' from the wall though, so even 98" is technically inadequate. Had $100 gift card I'll never use, so it brought the price to $900.
Gotta figure out how to stuff my current 75" TCL into a small corner at my parents. Wonder if an articulated mount is strong enough?
Wish me luck on the forgiveness. Shouldn't be too bad after she realizes it's way better and I was right all along.

EDIT: Wife got home from her trip to find a box nearly the width of the living room leaning against the couch. She's less angry than I was bracing for.
