I don't like to put the knives down in the caddy since the blades will be sitting in an inch of mold and mildew.
What?

The flat panel at the bottom of the racks always trapped water when moved slightly

Is there something special about it that makes it, even at this price, more than three times the price of the generic ones you can get on Amazon or at someplace like Target?

You could always try keeping it clean?

I've used this dish rack for about a year and never cleaned it... zero mold/mildew, just some hard water stains on the drain board.

I have no interest in cleaning it. I keep the knives blade up instead.

the placement of the cup holder appear to be above the sink...so if I was washing something I risk splashing the cups with soap and crap on them and cleaning them all over again. For 46 dollars I expected well thought out placement

Have had several iterations of this, including the one posted here. Long story short: it WILL RUST. KA is aware of this. They still sell it.
