The biggest issue I have with the app is that it doesn't natively support Apple Music. This isn't a deal breaker though as you can cast to the WiiM from you iOS device just fine. It's just a bit annoying as sometimes you just want the device itself to be managing the music vs needing to cast to it. Having said that, it supports a lot of other streaming solutions just fine. For my scenario, if running some outdoor speakers, it is an awesome device. I would highly recommend it based on quality and size, just really understand what's natively supported vs not and you won't be disappointed

Impressive device with lots of options, but if all you want is Airplay 2 on your existing setup, get an old Apple Express a1392 (2nd generation) that outputs digital or analog for ~$40.

I'm seeing $218.15 subtotal with $20 Crutchfield referral rewards (actually $21 for some reason?) for first order after signing up with a referral and $15 shipping for getting one day later than I would with free shipping. So this is $21 better than prior BF deal $239.20 subtotal!

Yes, can plug into analog input and connect via BT. If you don't have the remote control then you will def need the app.

I have two, they are pretty good units. I occasionally have to reconnect AirPlay if it drops and/or reboot the unit, but otherwise I'm happy with the functionality.

FYI this model has AirPlay 2, but the newer Amp Pro does not. Very disappointing, and it makes me wonder if Wiim will ever resume building products with AirPlay in it. Something to consider before you build out a multi-room Wiim ecosystem.

I read before this is due to them potentially losing right to use AirPlay for new devices after one of their initial devices allowed to TRANSMIT AirPlay signals which apparently is a no no for non Apple products.
