Beware: Many people are receiving batteries that were manufactured about 4 years ago. Li-ion batteries like these degrade with age, even when not being used. See this post in this thread for details.

Thanks for the nice comments on this deal, glad it's helpful.
Thank you for the deal Rokket.
The peace of mind buying from an authorized retailer when priced like this per aH is worth it.
I bought a Dewalt battery from Woot and kept wondering if I got a fake.
I even called Dewalt customer service to see if they could check the serial number of the battery and they referred me a very generic page saying check the height and quality of the screws on the case. That was the best they would do.
So many cheap fakes out there. In the end, I think my uncertainty wasn't worth the relatively small price difference I paid for the battery from Woot.

Does woot sell knockoffs? I thought they were legit. I just ordered a dewalt light from them from a deal posted here on SD
How many batteries do we really need? I find myself tempted for the deal but I have about 7 batteries and maybe 7 tools and I don't even use half of it. I'm starting to worry about them dying from lack of use and forget about charging.

Now I'm realizing I'd need a charger though...

I have ordered a few items from Woot. Generally they ship from Amazon.
But I have ordered 2 Dewalt items that were shipped by non-Amazon sellers. One was a tool and the other was the battery I mentioned. The tool seemed fine. I would think pretty hard to imitate.
The battery was the one that concerned me. I am not accusing Woot of selling knockoffs. But given the battery was shipped by an "independent seller" (not Amazon), I just wanted to be certain that I was sent a genuine Dewalt battery. The knockoffs can be hard to tell without taking the battery apart. You can search YouTube for people showing what the knockoffs look like.

I am in same boat. I rotate them by using them on a Dyson vacuum cleaner.
I just realized that I've had my DeWalt drill and impact combo for six years. Now seems like a good time to replace at least one of the batteries, as the originals are likely on borrowed time.
I sworn off Dewalt because of bad 12V/NiCad experience but their power pruner is so good against invasive bamboo I may just have to pick up this battery as extra.
This is a great deal. We have tools that use this size perfectly. 3 Ah is just the right weight for most of our hand tools. Home Depot would only let me purchase 3, or I would have purchased 6 more.
Did you buy an adapter that mates a Dyson stick vac to DeWalt batteries??
Yes. They make different ones depending on your Dyson model. I purchased my from Amazon for about $20. I usually only use the 4 amp or smaller batteries for it. So, my 5 and 6 amps are rarely used.
