I've had three, always attracted to the price and shape. They were impossible to sharpen and dulled quickly. The handles fit awkwardly in my hand. All are now in the landfill. YMMV, but never again for me. By far the worst brand I've owned. Pay more and look for Mercer (the standard of cooking schools) or one of the real brands, not something made to a price point for Walmart. If they were free and next to the checkout stand, I still would not take one.
Ordered one, thanks. Seems like a solid utility knife, and I could definitely use one of this size. Personally, my experience with KitchenAid knives has been quite positive. I only own one, but it doesn't feel out of place in my knife block alongside much more expensive knives from Wusthof and Zwilling.
my first knife was a kitchenaid utility knife I got from target when I first moved out. over 3 decades later, its still my daily driver for everyday use. Its got a decent edge and if it gets dull, it takes a few minutes to sharpen it back up.
When my kid went to uni, he took my kitchenaid because he's didn't feel like he needed a full chef's knife in his apartment. I've been feeling loss ever since. Guess I'm spending $11.
I bought the 6" chef version of this 4 years ago and its one of my dailies. It's thinner than my Mercer and Victorinox chef knives but just as sharp. The forged Japanese steel is awesome and I only hone it.

I stand corrected. They are roughly 2mm (my battery died on my digital caliper) in thickness. Dunno, it "feels" lighter in my hand? Still use it daily regardless. Worth it for the price.
