Do they ever drop any lower than this around the holidays?
Was in the market for this last holiday season and the lowest I could find was $149. So this is a great deal. Great headset too. Great build quality, sound and the ability to use with nearly any console, device, or PC is a real game changer. Recommended at this price for sure.

Recent negative reviews on Amazon. Should I ignore them.

For what it's worth I've had this headset for 1.5 years. Got it a bit cheaper and regret my decision. Foam started separating from the arch 7 months in, and I would say I was gaming low-moderately during that time. General connectivity issues, and sound balancing buttons are not good.
How's the mic monitoring on these? I have arctis 5s, and while they're comfortable and nice quality, the mic monitoring on it is so low I have to wear them with one ear off all the time. It's too disorienting not being able to hear myself talk

I have these. I've had all the prior gens as well.
So the mic on these is shit compared to other brands. Also still has weak plastic pieces but is a big improvement from prior gens, which always broke at the connect point of the cans to the headstrap. The mic boom to the can seems to be weak point on these gens.
That said getting 2.4ghz and bluetooth simultaneous connections is hard to get at this price point. So you can be on the phone/music from phone will also gaming or whatever else. Sound modes are good for various uses, superhuman hearing in fps games can be clutch. Best feature by far is flip to mute mic.

No complaints on that, fully adjustable has a dial to change volume so you can hear yourself not at all or full blast and anywhere between.
Got these around the holidays after a bunch of research. Funnily enough, i stacked a few tiktok coupons and bought mine off of tiktok shop for around $120. So this is a good deal but technically you can find better.
Everything with the headset has been great except one minor thing. If you use them with low volume a lot, there's like a weird bass buzz when you listen to something in that lower volume range. It's almost like a background static-y noise when you're listening to like a podcast where there are a lot of moments of silence between sentences. That's when it's most noticeable.
I don't like having the volume super high at night time when I'm just chillin watching some youtube videos, the bass buzz is very subtle but enough to sorta annoy me. I tried messing around with EQ but couldn't get it to go away.
But it hit a lot of other checkboxes for me so I'm still happy with them. Hope they're durable
I bought a Turtle Beach Stealth Pro about a year ago and 1) it would never update the firmware on my PC, there seems to be a common error people get at 4% and then the update stops and 2) the headset just started randomly turning off on me in-game, the only solution is to download the firmware update, which brings me back to the first point.
I wanted a mic'd headset, but I'm going back to my Sony headset with Yeti mic setup.

Personally for strictly gaming or music I'd take the Razer BlackShark V3 at $139 over the turtle beach, much better mic too.
