Coming from an Ender 3 was night and day. Very minimal tinkering to get some very solid prints at a good speed.
I don't have experience with Bambu or other more expensive printers and I'm sure there's some improvements as you move up to that range, but for the price you can't beat this.
Also, cashback is 14% today and new coupons started.
Community Reviews
The Adventurer 5M is a fast, CoreXY starter printer that stands out for easy setup, self leveling, and solid print quality right out of the box. It is praised as a no fuss machine with wired and wireless networking, Orca slicer support, and reliable results on everything from simple models to car gauge pods. The main tradeoffs are its open frame design, which limits harder to print materials without an enclosure, and occasional support or firmware headaches. It is a strong single color workhorse if you want speed and simplicity more than multicolor features.
The printer can deliver fast prints with good print quality and a solid build.
The self-leveling mechanism can be very reliable and effective at this price point.
The CoreXY motion can improve speed and stability compared with bed-slinging designs.
AliExpress orders can ship quickly from US warehouses and arrive with minimal delivery issues.
It supports both wired and wireless networking and works nicely with Orca slicer.
Coupon and checkout pricing can be inconsistent, including codes showing as used up or the price jumping after login.
Firmware update 3.2.7 can reportedly brick the printer until rolling back to 3.1.5.
Auto-leveling can become inaccurate over time, with buzzing and leveling that only helps briefly.
RMA support can become a nightmare, with the printer not working again until months later.

I've had it print 6 different models downloaded from Printables today using the default settings and all of them look great, no issues so far. Such a cool device.

Still need to buy the enclosure kit, I'm just being lazy
FWIW, the Adventurer seems to be able to use whatever random webcam as well. I just had a Logitech web camera from a decade ago that worked right away when plugged into the screen's USB A port.

For those who don't know, FF, along with all the other big 3D printer brands, was sent a threatening letter by the rather political NY AG. The latter basically was a threat that the company better not let people 3D print gun parts. FF posted that they didn't allow gun parts on their online system. But they don't do anything to actually stop or even check the files you print at home. Basically the company was trying to deal with an aggressive AG. The real concern should be the threat of mandated detection software, not FF.
