The Adventurer 5M is a fast, CoreXY starter printer that stands out for easy setup, self leveling, and solid print quality right out of the box. It is praised as a no fuss machine with wired and wireless networking, Orca slicer support, and reliable results on everything from simple models to car gauge pods. The main tradeoffs are its open frame design, which limits harder to print materials without an enclosure, and occasional support or firmware headaches. It is a strong single color workhorse if you want speed and simplicity more than multicolor features.

Ordered this on Tuesday, it shipped from New Jersey (I'm on the East Coast) and arrived on Friday. I had never used a 3d printer before, but after reading the quick start guide and watching some YouTube videos the setup was easy and it just worked out of the box. All you really need to do is remove some screws and attach the display, then it calibrates itself.

I've had it print 6 different models downloaded from Printables today using the default settings and all of them look great, no issues so far. Such a cool device.

Great price for a great basic printer. Self leveling mechanism is the best I have seen at this price point. I got it when it was $169 and it arrived quickly and as expected. Been very happy with it. It's my 4th filament printer and by far the best I've had.

Absolutely not. This specific company/mfg is the most anti 2a out there. I would not recommend them even if they paid me to take one of these. A little googling and you can find the social media post that they made that confirms it.

Decent printer, but be warned RMA is a nightmare. I bought one in late October, by mid November it started falling every print. I started the RMA process before Thanksgiving. I didn't have a working printer again until February. The amount of pictures, videos and emails was absurd. I could have bought multiple of these printers with the manhours I put into it, but I'm too stubborn to quit.
I had the opposite experience. I had an issue with the screen on mine and within a couple of emails, they were sending me the replacement screen for free.

Good deal on this. My coworker bought it for closer to $200 but it's a pretty decent printer. Quality is just short of Bambu's P1S, but it's very close comparison.

Great deal. I bought this closer to $200 and it was definitely worth it. You can get a kit pretty cheap on AliExpress to build an enclosure (with some 3d printed parts you can get from flash forge). You can also add a camera. Those are two of the main things from the pro version (the only real thing you miss and can't add is the air filter).

Coming from an Ender 3 was night and day. Very minimal tinkering to get some very solid prints at a good speed.

I don't have experience with Bambu or other more expensive printers and I'm sure there's some improvements as you move up to that range, but for the price you can't beat this.
I agree 100%, I also came from an Ender 3 Pre / SE / KE (a few different ones actually). They were all great but this is like 5 steps up for basically $40 more.

Still need to buy the enclosure kit, I'm just being lazy Wink

FWIW, the Adventurer seems to be able to use whatever random webcam as well. I just had a Logitech web camera from a decade ago that worked right away when plugged into the screen's USB A port.

Please stop with this ignorant BS.
For those who don't know, FF, along with all the other big 3D printer brands, was sent a threatening letter by the rather political NY AG. The latter basically was a threat that the company better not let people 3D print gun parts. FF posted that they didn't allow gun parts on their online system. But they don't do anything to actually stop or even check the files you print at home. Basically the company was trying to deal with an aggressive AG. The real concern should be the threat of mandated detection software, not FF.

This is a great printer and this is a non-issue. They aren't spying on what you print and if you are really concerned, operate the printer in LAN or USB mode.

I'm not [only] worried about that; they've said "Flashforge does not support or condone the 3D printing of firearms or weapon components (subject to the Flashforge user agreement). Flashforge prohibits using our products and services to create firearms and weapon components. Violations may lead to account termination and referral to authorities." That's enough for me to not give them my money. I'm sure the printer is fine, but I'm not supporting a company that has unhinged policies like that.
