Great deal. I bought this closer to $200 and it was definitely worth it. You can get a kit pretty cheap on AliExpress to build an enclosure (with some 3d printed parts you can get from flash forge). You can also add a camera. Those are two of the main things from the pro version (the only real thing you miss and can't add is the air filter).

Coming from an Ender 3 was night and day. Very minimal tinkering to get some very solid prints at a good speed.

I don't have experience with Bambu or other more expensive printers and I'm sure there's some improvements as you move up to that range, but for the price you can't beat this.

That's the reason I didn't pre-order the creator 5 pro. Hoping it'll drop way down in price by the end of the year like the 5m and 5x did.

Also, cashback is 14% today and new coupons started.

This is now one of the best deals I've seen on a low cost printer! This really is a seriously nice printer even at the much higher price it went for when it was new to the market. It's fast, has good print quality, solid build and both wired and wireless networking. It also works nicely with Orca slicer. Finally, though the material change procedure seems a bit odd, it works extremely well. I bought this printer almost 2 years ago for what was a deal at the time ($240).

"This item can't be shipped to the selected region."

This mean it's OOS, or I'm just up a creek?

Code still works for me. Wish the cashback website rate was higher but not bad!

I recently got the same printer from aliexpress and it came pretty fast. Its almost fully assembled and well.packed. If you get message that it cannot be shipped to your location make sure to log in and add address first.
Been printing a lot and so far no issues. I will probably eventually upgrade to some multicolor one.
Just note that replacement nozzles are expensive...around 35 per nozzle.
For printing there are some mods you can use vanilla orca slicer. But the one it comes from flashforge is decent for begginers.

There are plenty of cheaper nozzles on Amazon. Do some searches...

Thanks. I pulled the trigger on this 3d printer as I have always wanted one. Just a bit skeptical buying over $100 on aliexpress.
I got my flashforge ad5x from aliexpress and it was a perfect experience. They usually ship from US warehouses and can be extremely fast...like prime shipping fast. I've also ordered a bunch of 10 spool bundles of filament with no delivery or charge issues as all, and again also all shipped from the states and fast. There are definitely listings that only ship from china and that could be questionable, I'd also be especially leery of big, fragile and expensive things shipped from china but I have ordered dozens of smaller under $30 worth of the typical junk you see scrolling through and although those can take weeks and weeks I haven't had any issues with delivery yet. Of course the actual item quality and some sneaky marketing picture angles from questionable sellers is a different issue lol. But in general, ordering from real companies aliexpress (or often ebay official stores too BTW), and paying attention to make sure they are shipping from US warehouses and you are usually pretty safe I think. Just use a good credit card with buyer protection and chargeback if really needed.

Incredible how affordable 3D printing is nowadays.

By 2040, every man will have a 3D printer by the toolset in his garage haha
I'm hoping we'll have Star Trek like "replicators" as just an everyday common household appliance that is in every home...not sure if it would happen by 2040 though lol.

I noticed mine is coming from CA. Do you have a recommended vendor for filaments in aliexpress?

Nice, should be pretty quick then!
No, most of the "off brands" on aliexpress are often made in the same factories/same manufacturers as many of the name brands and, in general, most seem to have a pretty decent level of quality. Out of probably a couple hundred spools at this point, I've had maybe 3 or 4 spools with issues...like just randomly old brittle filament or a couple that were extra prone to tangle...though to be completely honest those very well could have been my fault not being careful keeping the ends in place.
Unless I need a specific color or type, I usually get the various 10 pla and petg spool bundles always posted here. You can often find them for basically under $7 per spool in those 10 deals, sometimes even closer to $6.
kingroon, jayo, geeetech, deeplee, often found in these deals here, have all been mostly completely fine for me.

Did you update the firmware... I bought my printer in July 2025 and after this latest firmware 3.2.7 it pretty much was bricked. I rolled back my firmware to 3.1.5 and now I'm using it like the original printer I grew to love.
That's one of the things of I initially tried. It was actually a bad printer.

I originally posited that it was a bad motor (there was a loud ticking on the left side)

After about a month of troubleshooting they finally sent me a motherboard which fixed one of the problems. It was way out of bounds the calibration would touch the plate guide piece in the back of the printer on the last step. Prints were still falling 90% of the time and the 10% printed like *ss. After two more months of troubleshooting they sent me a bunch of parts. I changed just the originally suspected motor and it's been working ever since.

Another two months of troubleshoot

I bought this last time it went on sale. I have over 250 hours on it and it has been awesome! I don't think you could get a better starter printer.

I got this printer for Christmas. Worked really well at first, but the auto level seems off. I took the belt off to level it, and it worked for like 1 print. Then it's buzzing like heck again. No filament is not caught on the rods. I can't figure out the problem.

This is a great deal. I got an AD5X recently but should have bought this one instead. I don't use multi-material printing anyway and won't till there's an affordable multitool printer.
