How many fish do you have to catch to make this worthwhile? Ice is getting scarcer here in Pennsylvania, and when it comes it doesn't last long.

Worth it to not have to mess with fuel. Need ice? come on up to Northern Minnesota with us. Need to run extensions as the ice was over 60" this winter.

I have the regular auger version of this and it's awesome. I'll be extending my fence later this year but I've also used it in my gardens for adding new plants.
It's very heavy and takes up a lot of room, but if you have the space and are in the Ego ecosystem, it's pretty great.

34 lbs, looks like a steel auger. Id skip this and go with a composite flute auger. An ion auger or a strike master lite flite is about half the weight.
