This show had original super Mario sound effects and music and hand drawn animation. The live action was also well made. For anyone who grew up in the 90's this show was fun

Remember the episode where Luigi had some kind of affliction where he was "eating backwards"? They just shot footage of the actor eating regularly and then reversed it.

And the music over the end credits where the singer insisted everyone "do the Mario" but never really explained how to do it, with footage of Mario & Luigi just kinda standing there, shuffling around a little, looking confused...

Uhh they spelled it out clearly, what part of "take one step and then again" don't you understand? Is "swing your arms from side to side" also difficult to understand?

The Legend of Zelda episodes have those credits tacked on the end because it was never it's own series, which I'm sure is very jarring the seeing it for first time if you didn't watch the Super Show when it aired.

After over thirty years I somehow managed to forget about the arm-swinging instructions. So anyone who moves their arms when walking is technically doing The Mario? Next I'm going to find that footage of Bea Arthur doing The Urkel.

I also remember a moment from the cartoons when the group needed Luigi to do something dangerous and he said, "I can't! I'm... having a baby!" And he gripped his stomach like he was "with child." 🤣

I didn't own Legend of Zelda on NES. We rented it but for some reason never bought it so unfortunately I just zoned out during the Zelda cartoons. I did finally play it years later and really liked it. Being able to save your progress makes such a huge difference.
