Shame the filter is polyester and not fine mesh metal.

Tried one of these last time it was on sale...meh, still more of a pain than simply using a glass French press which makes it much easier to separate the grounds while getting as much of the cold brew as possible.

You can cold brew in any container you want. This is part of the genius of cold brew, you don't have to buy anything to do it.

Used the plastic ones til they fogged up. The glass upgrade is def worth it imo

Avoid these and any others with a handle that's part of the lid and not the base. I had two different models break because that design puts uneven strain around the top both when you carry it and when you pour. Get one with a handle that's part of the base.

Disadvantage of that is you have no way of tamping down the grounds, so you lose a lot of the cold brew that's trapped in there. That's the beauty of the French press...you can squeeze out every last delicious drop! 😊

I get gallon water jugs, drink a 1/4 of it, and use the 3/4 remainder with 1/2lb of ground coffee. Leave it in the fridge over night and then pour it through a metal cone filter to make my own cold brew. You may need to adjust for your preferences. It keeps (in my fridge at least) for a week, good enough for a daily cup of cold brew. I keep some oat milk and some sweetener and syrups and have my coffee that way.

French press coffee makers are all excellent these days because the mechanism is very simple.
But if you are new to this and would like to start with a nicer quality brand, Bodum is a good starting point.
Bodum 51oz Cold Brew Coffee Maker is economical, mistake-proof, and comes in like 20 different colors.
