How is the DLC for this one? Reviews are bad, but I know that the Civ crowd can be pretty critical.

I actually think that they're pretty good. I wouldn't even want to play Civ VI without Gathering Storm. Regardless of your ideological views or feelings, this DLC brings the world to life. There are floods and volcanic eruptions that can be pretty impactful. Large tropical storms and blizzards are also a thing. In the late game, rising sea levels begin to impact the game.
I'm considering picking this up because I've really only played on console. As far as I'm aware, the modding scene for these games is pretty worthwhile.

The Gathering Storm expansion adds so much replayability to this game IMO. The Rise and Fall expansion I can take or leave but if you like Civ, Gathering Storm is a must for how much more challenging and random it makes the gameplay

Fantastic game! If you get the anthology, you should be able to get the other leaders (like Abraham Lincoln) if you make a 2k account and connect it
