Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

Yes. the manager said their associates do not know about it yet. But he said he is sure the $400 promo is spread out amongst 36 months.

This is a nice deal for CURRENT customers, since the last deal required to be NEW for $400 extra. I currently have spectrum internet so I only need to pay taxes for the Galaxy S26 Plus which is $120. You need to pay upfront the $820 which is $700 for the trade in credit plus the taxes. Then you will receive the credit on your account but it won't be refunded to your credit card. Also keep in mind phone used to get unlocked after 60 days, but this one falls under the new Verizon policy, so now you need to wait at least 1 year with the account active to have the phone unlocked, even with the phone paid off.
If you do in store, I don't think you need to pay the $820 up front. You trade in your phone and say you want to pay in full. Then you only pay the $120 for the phone and you're good. I did this with the A16 two weeks ago.

You could just show him the spectrum website on your phone OR have him run the deal and see for himself in his computer. it's unfortunately true spectrum store, phone, and chat reps are sometimes completely incompetent. Hopefully you can find a good employee to help you out.

I did EXACTLY that and the manager refused even after I showed the website on my phone. The first associate also said I couldn't do a trade-in on my existing line and must be a new line. Will try again tomorrow.

Is there a list of eligible trade in phones?
Yeah, wondering what phones would qualify for the full credit.

Waste of time at one of the Plano , TX Spectrum location. The manager and rep ignored the fine print I tried to show them, claiming the $400 is new-customer-only and spread over 3 years. They basically brushed me off and told me to just do it online.

Exactly the same bologna I got here in NYC. I will just go ahead with the order in-store tomorrow.

Thank you. Curious if you had done the previous S26 deal on this line recently? Which phone did you have active on the line?
Nope this is my first time doing any deal on Spectrum mobile as I just started using Spectrum Internet from April 1st. Also My free line was good for this deal which I had not activated yet. So now my free line is consumed with this deal.

So you got the $400 off instantly then the additional $705 instantly? Nice!
I was going to do that but I just purchased online as I didn't have an activation fee and I had a year worth of mobile plan free as I signed up for Gig Internet a few months ago. Didn't want to risk it by losing the free mobile as that saves a few hundred a year. Sucks though that I will only get the trade-in value as monthly credit but oh well.
Yes 400+700+$5(trade value). All of it instantly. Also I used my free 1 year mobile line for this deal and $20 activation was waived off as line was free.

Anyone placed order online this morning? Did you recieve the Assurant trade in email? When I clicked the link in the email it doesn't bring up the USPS/UPS shipping info.

Couple of questions if you dont mind

1. Can you elaborate on the trade-in process in-store?

2. Would you (or anybody) happen to know anything about the free one-year mobile service?
Does this go towards the 60 day unlock policy? Or does it have to "paid" service in order to count?

I did a test cart online and it shows that I qualify for a free full-year since I never had mobile service (only been using them for internet)?
Here are the terms:

Thanks!
Just take your trade-in mobile in store and they will process it. Remember to ask them to choose pay in full option and not over 36 months.
I had a free line yet to be activated. I used that in this deal and unlock is irrespective of which line. It is just 60 days of active service irrespective of free or paid line.

try this way. dont ask them anything. just say you want a s26+ or ultra and pay in full. let it go through the system. you'll see the final payment. if you're happy with the result then pay for it. if not, walk away.
