Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

Just choose to pay in full, at the store you get trade in credit apply instantly, so just pay the taxes and that's it you're ready to go.

tried upgrading my galaxy a15 but for some reason it couldnt pass their stupid camera/mirror test. Nothing is wrong with the camera but the guy was trying for 20min and couldnt get it to pass. I was told i should ship it in but now im concerened if i ship it in it wont pass the test again.
I don't think the test is required for mail in trades, all that's required is it's functional and on the list of trade in phones.

I ordered it online, and it's due to arrive tomorrow. I'll just wait and see.
Mine comes tomorrow. Now I think about it, I'm having doubts about them approving the trade-in because of Moto G is carrier locked.

I made an appointment for 10 am. That was when they open for me. I walked past every one signing in and said i have am appointment and purchased the first two out of the daily delivery. He said they get 4 to 5 of each a day. I wanted white he said that one had to be ordered never comes in the daily FedEx delivery.
No appts earlier than 1030am ever at my location unfortunately. They open at 10. Smart though, I didn't even think of it and I was standing in that line hating life just a week ago smh.

It is a little better and you do get more for it back when you are finished with it. I got both today the plus for tax. $26 and change. The Ultra was two hundred and something light and it didn't bother me a bit to pay that for it. Very happy.
Better camera, pen, 60w
Does the pen come with it? I bought the Ultra today and there isn't a pen with it------NO it doesn't looked it up at Samsung.

No need to ship. You can do the test yourself. Put the phone on the desk facing up and put the mirror on top of it facing down. Both passes in one try. Make sure there's no plastic sticker at the back, even it is not blocking the lens. Those guys in the store sometimes make it fail by purpose.

Just an FYI- my first ultra was traded in as s25+ and $461 cash, 20 days ago, on the original promotions. Spectrum updated their promo for s26÷ and Iltra two days ago. So technically my second time ultra trade was under a new promotion. Maybe that was the reason mine went through. The employee helping was also surprised and had to confirm with her colleague who agreed when I mentioned the promo terms mentioned one per line (but I already had that promo 20 days ago on that line).

I plan go go back to the same store in a few days to try trading s26+ for another ultra on any of my 3 existing lines and see if I can get all credits and get some back. If not, I'll try that on a new line. Before doing that, I'll move an existing line to an old unlocked phone, just so not to be asked about another spectrum traded new phone on that line.
Once again, appreciate the reply. You could be right about the trade being allowed because you got the first one under the old promotion. That would mean my s26 would work. It's not on the line anymore so it checks all the boxes. Not sure if I will try as you still seem to be the only one who got it to work. Going for one more 26+ if they have any left in store. May just use my s25+ from last year. Not much of an upgrade in the phone but would end up with a $200 credit and this years model. Good luck!

We get $400 instant off when pay full. What happens if I disconnect the line after 6 months? Do I get charge for remaining 30 month pro rate?

Nothing happens, phone is paid in full, there's no contact you can cancel the service anytime. Most people wait the 60 days to get them SIM unlocked and then port out OR call spectrum to cancel the line. I have free service so I just wait until it's about to expire.
