This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.
I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.
Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.
In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)
On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.
So all in was $59.92.

That's what it looks like to me! Then there are some other taxes on there but that might be included in the $20 line charge. Glad that they are taxing the $400 vs 1100 or the 700.
Honestly I dont think Karma_Joy successfully traded in any s26 directly for an s26 unless it was across two different accounts. This is why you hear absolutely zero success stories from anyone else except karma Joy. He's either just trolling and stringing everybody along or not telling the entire truth.
I suspect trading an S26 for an iPhone and then an iPhone for an Ultra would work but there has to be the in-between trade or perhaps a secondary account that you're trading the s26s on. The reason is because The system recognizes that you've already obtained a promotion to get the S26 and immediately stops you from trying to get in to get anything else S26 related.
I mean let's be realistic. In a thread with thousands of thousands of views and everyone and their mom across the United States getting these S26 phones... It would be statistically impossible for not one other person to tell me that they were successful in trading in S26 directly for another variant of an S26 on the same account.
In any case my account is giving a fraud flag now which is very sad so I can't even open new lines and I only have four lines on my account. I did three upgrades got blocked from the fourth one. Went back the next day still blocked and I couldn't even add lines also blocked with the same error message telling me that I need to shop online instead
Yes, doing multiple transactions in store will raise the flag. It's best to do all in one transaction (up to 20).
