Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

Thanks for info. Not surprising they are tightening up the rules. As a point of interest, even though they overlap, the original deal in March does not seem to count as a trade in for the current deal. I got a s26 in March and then traded a moto g for an Ultra on the same line in April. Yesterday added a second line and traded an old samsung for an s26+.
No, they only tightened up the rule on in-store trade-in. For online, you can do as many as you want. Even today after the system denied me in-store, the rep offered me online trade-in, but I refused.

I did it for the Ultra this time at a different store, and the specialist was great. One thing I noticed, though, is that Spectrum seems to have updated the terms without mentioning it anywhere. Now it looks like only 2 trade-ins are allowed on the account. When we tried the third one for my friend on my account, it was denied. Anyone experienced the same?
How many in-store trade-in that you succeed for this S26 series deal? I already did 5 and was denied on 6 try today, so it was legit reason just like last year.

Can anyone confirm how long this deal is active?

I did it instore today and the repo mentioned it's available until the 24th but I thought it was only available until the 21st.

21st based on the term on the spectrum website. They might extend it, but I am not sure. I just checked the term again, still 21st is the last date.

My understanding is $400 is instant, but you get the $700 off over 36 months so if you leave before then you forfeit whatever that discount was

My guess is it's going to expire on the April 21st at 9pm Pacific Time. They don't get extremely specific but from previous promotions that's my best guess.

Those who trade Walmart moto what network you mentioned. I got denied by mentioning Verizon by a bad rep since she can't see mobile listed

Trade-in on-line is risky because really much you don't have a chance to return the new phone for refund due to passing over the 14 days return window if Assurant demies your trade-in phone. The worst thing is we have to swallow that super expensive price tag of the phone. I believe it is unfair business practice for consumer. Spectrum must provide 30 days return window. I did complain this to the rep over the phone and she replied "We don't care because the promotion is separated from the new phone". WTF... unbelievable.

This afternoon I said Straight Talk when she asked what original carrier of the phone? That rep couldn't see Motorola g 5g 2025? Come on this phone is very very famous in every fricken Spectrum store. You should help her to find that phone on the computer screen. Because you said Verizon, it was correct that this Moto was not on the list for Verizon; but if you say Straight Talk, then she will select Other, then you would get the new phone. 😀😀 I almost get mine today, but the system denied as fraud, so there is nothing I can do.

I told her to select other option but she denied since she said I mentioned Verizon first (since she saw the logo) and can't change as it will affect her integrity to do job.. I tried to say I am not asking her to any fraud or wrong but she straight out denied.how does it matter which network :-( also she didn't show the screen when I asked her to do.. I even greeted nice when I entered.. not sure what is wrong with her. my bad day or her :-). .. also how do they do fraud check on what basis. one guy did 6 lines and still let go

Has anyone that has been "locked" or "banned" from purchasing more phones in store able to call the "Spectrum Fraud Department" to lift it and be free to purchase more?
I called and talked to Spectrum yesterday and they couldn't see any fraud on my account and said for some reason the payment on my previous purchase never went through and was in pending and has since cleared so it should be fine today. I also did an order under another account using my credit card and they linked the accounts together which I'm authorized user on the other account. Tried the other account and the order would NOT go through today.
Only way for me to get another phone is online. I purchased 4 phones on one account (which was new internet and new phone) and 1 on the other account which was more established by a few months but no phones on it. Both are online orders only for now.
I do not see a way around it--the fraud team could not find any reason an in-store order shouldn't go through.

So my guess is once you've hit this stage internet is the only way to get another phone.

My question is--does it make a difference if we pay in full or installments. Interesting they said they needed to do a credit check for me if I did installments but in store it's showing me having like 59K available for phones. I'd rather not pay upfront unless it is a savings on taxes as long as we can go in and pay for the phone once the 60 days unlock is getting close. At least then we'd have our $700 trade in back.

I also just received a $400 credit on my account for purchasing a S26 Ultra and being a new internet subscriber. It pro-rated over 36 months so I'm hoping I can get that back. Looks like it can only be used on phone service. We will see but it will help pay the $20 monthly cost slowwwwwwly.

You were able to do 5x in store trade-ins using one line?

Go to another store and make sure they click on other and then choose the phone. I've done it a few times with that phone and the transaction didn't go through but not because of the phone--because I am being forced to go online. Just tell them other---NOTHING else.

No appts earlier than 1030am ever at my location unfortunately. They open at 10. Smart though, I didn't even think of it and I was standing in that line hating life just a week ago smh.
That makes sense. The night before i left with a card from the employee that he had wrote "appointment" and the date on. He said to come at 10 basically for first pick of that days phones. I was there at 9:50 and 4 other people were already waiting.
