Did the $700 show back up?
No. but I called spectrum on phone and they said I will get it and I asked them to make a note on my account. However, now I have another issue. I sent in 512GB s26+ for trade in and I even have the box that says it. But assurant emailed me saying it is 256GB and deducted $80 in trade in credit. Anyone else in the same scam boat by assurant?

Is that true even though the spectrum tracker says up to 5 business days and gives an estimated date?
I shipped mine last week but Assurant/Spectrum is still not updated even though UPS is scheduled to deliver it this week. I chatted with Spectrum and they have no idea why the Spectrum tracking is not updated and show my trade-ins is in -transit. Anyone in the same situation ?

same here, shipped last Thursday, and it's scheduled to deliver tomorrow. But the Assurant tracking website has no updates, still await for shipment.

Mine had no tracking update. UPS said delivered last Tuesday. Got approval notice this morning from Spectrum. I was more worried because I sent in wrong model phone. Moto G Power 5G 2024 vs the 2025 I put in the form. Luckily they accepted it for 705 total credit.

Don't expect the Assurant do any update on the trade-in website until they send you an email whether they accept or deny your trade-in device.

Man why you tried to trade in your S26+? Haven't you heard that no $700 promotion comes with S26 trade-in? It also happened in-store too. Good luck.

That website never update until the Assurant email you whether they approve your device or not.

I asked in the S26U thread but wanted to ask here to gather more DP. Could someone boot into recovery (vol up + power) and share if their device shows release-keys or test-keys? Some users with Verizon + Spectrum devices reported that they shipped some out with the debug/engineering build signed with generic test-keys, which randomly can have memory leaks that result in boot looping until app data is wiped.
It shows user/test-keys

Though, I think this isn't a mistake because S25 also says user/test-keys, and that one has been running fine without any boot looping issues. I think Spectrum's Samsung phones all show user/test-keys

I haven't had any issues running high-security apps (like banking apps, Google Pay, or Netflix). The S25 receives official OTA security patches and updates perfectly fine. Also, the Play Protect certification in the Google Play Store shows "Device is certified"

Samsung probably created carrier-specific builds that are signed with keys labeled test-keys in the build string. It's still technically "release" software but probably was compiled in a specific "known good" environment. Otherwise, Google would refuse to certify the phone

On a side note, both give me the option to "Wipe cache partition" in the Android Recovery menu. Not sure if that's what you mean when you are referring to "app data is wiped"

As for the cause of boot looping, I'd look elsewhere. I don't think "user/test-keys" is a reliable predictor of running into this type of problem

Activated S26+ today. Want to switch back to my previous device but the physical SIM is deactivated now. "Change your device" cannot be completed online because a new physical SIM is required.

I plan to go to Spectrum tomorrow, get a new physical SIM, and reactivate my previous device.

But I will have to also reactivate the S26+ before day 60 so that it unlocks*. Would I be able to use the physical SIM in the S26+ without the hassle of switching between physical and eSIM again?

Basically I'm wondering if Spectrum will force the line to be re-provisioned onto eSIM when I reactivate the S26+ later on. Don't want to have to deal with their support 3 more times (S26+ to old device, to S26+ again, to old device again).

* unless I'm mistaken and the S26+ needs to be active for a continuous 60 days. Numerous posts in here said it just needs to be active on the line on day 60 to be unlocked.

I didn't know that. it showed the promotion when placing the order though. can you please link some posts saying that they did not get the $700? Btw, I opened a new line for this trade in. Maybe people who did not get $700 were just upgrading existing line?

If you read through previous posts, then you will see it. I believe the system removed the $700 promotion automatically in the process of getting that promotion to your account. Anyway good luck. I hope you will get it at the end.

Chat or call customer service agent to reprovision the previous PSIM. I used my SIM card to switch 6 different S25 phones under 1 free line to activate them and same for S26 too. It happens to me many times when the in-store agents forced activation on esim. Then I called or chatted with agents to reprovision the old SIM card back. Chat for this issue is the best because some agents were clueless on this.
