I bought this in 2024. I use it regularly to pound chicken breasts and other things. It's perfectly fine. I never put mine in the dishwasher so I don't know about the complaints people have with that.

I use my kids Doomhammer replica from Warcraft, it's surprisingly heavy for a plastic toy.

I grabbed this during last week's deal. It isn't too small and will handle just fine for the limited use I expect to give it, though I did expect it would be just a tiny bit larger. It's pretty much what you probably expect a $9 meat mallet should be. Its not an amazing deal per say, but solid for 9 bucks nowadays. I'd suggest nabbing it if you're simply looking to add one to the arsenal, like me. However, if a meat tenderizer is something you use regularly, I'd probably hunt down a beefier option.

I got it, I used it on some chuck, made it real tender, did a number on my cutting board, I'm happy with it, but I can see why the other comment says it's smaller than expected and while it's a good size for me personally, I can see it being annoying to use if you have to make dinner for 3 or 4 people.

This is a good size, weight, grip, with 2 heads to get the the job done for 1 person dinner. If you regularly cook for 3 or more I would suggest a larger one.

This is by far the best way to tenderize (beat) your meat

Wait! You supposed to pound chicken breasts before cooking. That explains a lot...
