The last time I had a footlong meal it was $6, and it wasn't a promo.

I would rather they drop the price of a footlong to like $3 (which would probably never happen) and scrap the drink and side. Seeing that a footlong can be bought at around $6.99 with a coupon, you are paying $2 for the side and drink. But I am guessing Subway is still keeping whatever inflated profit they are making on a footlong because they are still making money when they are priced at $6.99 and covering it up, while giving a slight discount, on inflated prices of a drink (most fast food restaurants have a huge markup on their drinks) and side item.
