Almost seems like you could part this out with ram and SSD prices being what they are.
The nice thing about this one is that it's USB-C powered. I really wish this was standard. I don't want weird proprietary charges for these things.

P.S. The 100W charger did catch my eye as well. Probably well oversized based on normal draw of the CPU but likely provides plenty of overhead for any power draw from the USB ports.
The RAM alone is $210-$260 on the secondary market, the 1TB NVMe at $110. ~$225 for the remaining PC is a good deal.
State sales tax adds $47 (IL) for me to put the total cost at $596. Still not bad, but I personally don't *need* this, so I'll pass. I've been looking to replace an aging i5-8500 server I mainly use for occasional game server hosting.
Get it while it's good, as it only shows 18 remaining in stock. Besides being a good general-use PC, it'll also work nicely as a generalist server or Steam Machine. The 780m is still a great integrated GPU and the 7840u is a solid upper-midrange 8/16 CPU.

The 7840HS is a powerful CPU when it's paired with a good thermal solution. It might work better with a thermal paste replacement with something like PTM7950. Acemagic reportedly used pretty basic thermal compound, and it could be poorly applied. If you end up replacing that smaller case fan, it might pay to do a repaste at the same time, if you're technically minded.
