Ok last biddummy.com question, that I sent you in a DM but figured there might be other dummies like me out there...
The prepaid phones are locked when you buy them and have a waiting period, so are you getting your on ebay or marketplace or something like that?
The prepaid phone you're trading in does not need to be unlocked.

If you pay in full, you do not need to remain a customer for 3 years to get credits. It's paid off.

No. $400 off the top. S26 Ultra is $899 already (not $1299). Get a cheap prepaid phone (I have a Galaxy A03s), they'll give me $5 + $700 promo credit = $705. My total will end up being $194 + tax. Pay in full. There's no way I would give up my S25 Ultra in this case. It's worth more selling on the private market.
I did this a month ago and got an S26 the same way. I'll do the S26 Ultra tomorrow on the same line.
I do in-store, though. Sales tax is applied differently (since your trade-in is evaluated and applied right away) as opposed to doing it online and waiting for the promo credit to hit.
Can the A03s be locked to another carrier for the trade in, or do i need to find a cheap phone unlocked?

Moto G 5G 2025 is on the list. $30 at Walmart. You probably won't find a prepaid phone cheaper than that at retail.

This is gonna be a dumb question, sorry ya'll, but does the s26 need to be activated to Spectrum for this to work? Let's say I have Spectrum internet and already using the free line for my nephew, but my actual personal phone is on a T-Mobile plan. How do i get this for my personal use and not on spectrum?

Do you do the trade in at the store? Is the $700 promo credit taken off at the store as well?
