No. $400 off the top. S26 Ultra is $899 already (not $1299). Get a cheap prepaid phone (I have a Galaxy A03s), they'll give me $5 + $700 promo credit = $705. My total will end up being $194 + tax. Pay in full. There's no way I would give up my S25 Ultra in this case. It's worth more selling on the private market.
I did this a month ago and got an S26 the same way. I'll do the S26 Ultra tomorrow on the same line.
I do in-store, though. Sales tax is applied differently (since your trade-in is evaluated and applied right away) as opposed to doing it online and waiting for the promo credit to hit.

No. Pay the cost of the phone at checkout, send in your trade-in and you'll get the FULL value applied to your account. You can call/chat and have that credit applied as a refund to your credit card.
If you're paying in full, there is nothing involving "3 years" at all. It's paid.

Yes! And it's MUCH better. At least in TX and many other states, you make out a lot better because you only pay sales tax on the amount AFTER your trade-in is applied.
If you do it online, you pay the FULL sales tax of the device and the credit is applied later, no sales tax refunded.
I will literally save something like $95 doing it in-store rather than online.

How does the $705 credit work? Does it make mine internet bill cheaper? Because they want me to pay $790 today with $705 credit once they get my old phone.
No, your internet account and mobile account are 2 separate balances. You pay $790 today and it should auth your credit card, but then charge $790 to your mobile account. They'll apply a $705 credit against that $790 once your trade-in is approved.

This deal sucks compared to the Mint Mobile one currently going on.... 3 years locked in is a joke.
The current Mint deal is nowhere near as good as this one. Not even in the same realm. There is no 3-year agreement required for this Spectrum promo.

Doesn't matter how good a deal this is if your new phone is gimped with missing bands because of a special version they are giving you. It's worthless off of spectrum in that case.

I've had no issues with connection, but I can only speak to taking these phones from Spectrum -> T-Mobile. Can always flash the appropriate firmware.

Let's say someone who wasn't a current Spectrum customer went into the store, signed up for their cheapest internet service, and also took advantage of buying two S26 Ultras at the same time, and paid them off fully.
Then that person, within a few days, canceled the internet service. Would there be any issues?
Or would it be necessary to carry the internet service for the 60 days until the phones were unlocked?
what if my area does not have spectrum? what are my options then?

Are you able to elaborate on this? I'm hoping to get this deal, wait out the 60 days to unlock it from spectrum, then use it with my xfinity sim - as long as it works with the right bands. Grateful for any advice!

Went to store for the S26U, got turned down by system for some reason (adding a new line). Somehow this triggers the free line promo, so ordered online instead, tired going to the store. Oringally, ordered through mint then saw this deal then cancelled the mint mobile one. This deal is the best by far from Spectrum (aside from stack trading from previous year).

So, must be a mobile customer for 36 months? What is their cheapest plan?

Only if you're putting the phone on a payment plan. If you're paying in full then no, it's paid off immediately.

Missing bands that prevent you from receiving proper signal and reception for use on any of the big 3 carriers or their mvno partners like mint mobile when unlocked adter 60 days.
Someone here already documented this issue with prior models like the s24 and s25 if they want to elaborate more or someone else chime in who can confirm this problem.

I m not sure who it was, he posted that he placed an order with S26 for S26 coz promo was sticking but email confirmation removed $700 bonus. So, even it shows the promo might still till the end but you may not get it. Definitely, if someone could try in store, we will get a clear picture.
