No. $400 off the top. S26 Ultra is $899 already (not $1299). Get a cheap prepaid phone (I have a Galaxy A03s), they'll give me $5 + $700 promo credit = $705. My total will end up being $194 + tax. Pay in full. There's no way I would give up my S25 Ultra in this case. It's worth more selling on the private market.
I did this a month ago and got an S26 the same way. I'll do the S26 Ultra tomorrow on the same line.
I do in-store, though. Sales tax is applied differently (since your trade-in is evaluated and applied right away) as opposed to doing it online and waiting for the promo credit to hit.

No. Pay the cost of the phone at checkout, send in your trade-in and you'll get the FULL value applied to your account. You can call/chat and have that credit applied as a refund to your credit card.
If you're paying in full, there is nothing involving "3 years" at all. It's paid.

Yes! And it's MUCH better. At least in TX and many other states, you make out a lot better because you only pay sales tax on the amount AFTER your trade-in is applied.
If you do it online, you pay the FULL sales tax of the device and the credit is applied later, no sales tax refunded.
I will literally save something like $95 doing it in-store rather than online.

Tmobile flashed my phone randomly from spectrum to tmobile, I normally had to do this manually in the past.
So can the spectrum software be flashed to the unlocked version software easily after the phone unlocks?

Why over complicating it? Get the Moto G 2025 that had been proven to work (and cheapest option) and get the deal. It this one here:https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...4552506783Instruct Spectrum that it's listed under "Other" carrier from their trade-in. Test the trade-in on Spectrum website so you're prepared.
The store took my locked A15 straight talk, but wouldn't my unlocked g play 2024 because only 21, 23, and 26 were on the list. Instead of 3 lines I walked out with one. Oh well. not sure it's worth 3 hours of time waiting like I had to do.

Has anyone here traded in an S25 Ultra that was fully paid through last year's Spectrum promo for the S26 Ultra?
I just got hit with a $400 charge reversal. Billing is saying I didn't meet the 36-month requirement from the original promo, so they took back the $400 credit.
I'm confused because the phone was fully paid off when I traded it in. Has anyone experienced this or successfully disputed it?

You're overcomplicating it. Simply sign up for both internet and mobile at the same time. You'll receive one year free phone service with the internet. Use that service to activate the phone and keep it active for at least 60 days.
Thanks.

What day did you do the trade-in? I traded in my S25 Ultra I got from Spectrum via promo last year on Wednesday (4/15). I always fully pay them off when doing the trade in. I haven't gotten any type of charge reversal yet and I better not.

When I got the S25Ultra from Spectrum, I fully paid it off from the beginning

Check your email (these comes after several hours) with subject -> "Mobile Order Details" and from assurant -> "We're ready to receive your device for Trade-In";
These 2 should contain lines for $700 credit
something like this ->
Trade-In Credit: $1.00 (or whatever value was your device)
Trade-In Promotion: $700.00

Perhaps those who have completed online trade-in can confirm these?

For those of us who have no choice but to do this online instead of in store; after paying in full, is the $700 trade in promo a one lump sum credited to our account that we can then request to be refunded to a credit card OR are we stuck with a 36 month credit? There appears to be conflicting answers about this.

Did you get 2 lines? Also, both in the one transaction or 2 separate transactions?

From Spectrum: https://www.spectrum.net/en/suppo...ogram-faqs

"How do I get my trade-in payment?
After your device is processed, you'll receive a credit for its assessed value. If you've paid for your new device in full, the trade-in credit will be refunded to your account within the next two billing cycles. Otherwise, a monthly credit will be applied to your Device Payment Plan in equal increments for the remainder of the plan, starting within two billing cycles.

Our channel partner, Assurant, will send you in an official email, noting your trade-in credit."

As it mentions, the email with the subject "Mobile Order Details" then will say: Applied within the next 2 billing statements, pending approval"

The terms are clear, so I don't see there be any risk with the exception of the trade-in not being accepted. When you do get the credit you need to call or chat with spectrum and they will put the credit back on your credit card.

I added two lines (S26 Ultra for both), both in the same transaction.
I have Spectrum Internet as well as two mobile lines already.
